The HBA Cowboys
Built Different. Rooted in Purpose.
The HBA Cowboys aren’t your typical select baseball team. We’re a community built on care, character, and commitment, dedicated to long-term player development, not short-term wins.
Our program was created from a desire to coach deeper, going beyond lessons to teach the game the right way, through patience, purpose, and attention to detail.
A Philosophy That Stands Apart
Under former MLB pitcher Casey Sadler, our approach challenges the norm. We hold our athletes and their families to high standards, believing that success starts with integrity, consistency, and a growth mindset.
We also believe kids should be kids, that they should have the option to play multiple sports, rest, and reset. Burnout and overuse are rampant in youth baseball, and we’re not adding to that cycle. Casey’s philosophy is simple: balance fuels greatness.
That’s why the Cowboys don’t start practicing as early as most select teams. We begin in October, giving athletes time to recharge and come back hungry to learn.
If you’re looking for constant games, nonstop practices, and quick wins-we’re not your team.
If you value development, discipline, and long-term growth, you’re in the right place.
Built for the Long Haul
Beginning at 12U, our goal is to grow together, year after year, until high school graduation. Each season building on the last, creating a strong foundation of skill, confidence, and leadership. As the team develops, we’ll add new players as needed who share the same values and work ethic.
Coaching That Changes the Game
Casey brings a professional eye for detail and delivers age-appropriate, actionable feedback that leads to real improvement. His high standards, paired with a positive, purpose-driven approach, make every practice meaningful. Perfect practice makes progress.
Why “Cowboys”?
The name is personal, a nod to Casey’s small-town roots and a symbol of hard work, grit, and full-circle growth.
Our Mission
To shape the next generation of athletes, strong in skill, grounded in character, and confident in who they are-both on and off the field.
Assessments will re-open in July 2026 for the 2027 season
